Contemporary Reflexology College offers the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology through Centralia, an Independent Approved Centre, fully regulated by the Awarding and Qualification Organisation Agored Cymru. This is the highest independent reflexology qualification in the UK today. Some reflexology courses sadly do not offer a proper qualification so check that your chosen course is on a government recognised qualification framework, has a registered Awarding body and is externally verified. If this information is not transparent on the website then please make sure you check it out thoroughly before enrolling.
A select group of highly experienced and dedicated reflexology educators are now teaching the UK's first Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology (equivalent to an HND or Foundation Degree). Most other courses are to Level 3 (equivalent to GCE A Level or NVQ 3), if a course is not levelled then check it out thoroughly! Contemporary Reflexology College is proud to offer this exciting and progressive course and is unique in its approach by adding Ear Reflexology as well as Hand and Foot Reflexology to the core syllabus. There is also an emphasis on self-care, research and meridian work. The title of the course is:
Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology
All five course units are assigned to the Nursing and Subjects and Vocations Allied to Medicine Sector and are 100% specific to becoming a Professional Clinical Reflexologist. The units are also recognised in Europe as the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales is registered with the European Qualifications Framework. Most reflexology courses are Level 3 and allied to Health and Social Care often including unrelated subjects or requiring prior Anatomy and Physiology training. The Level 5 course is ideal for medically trained people looking to move into the Complementary Health Sector, as well as newcomers with no prior knowledge of healthcare and Anatomy and Physiology. We introduce you to the structure and function of the body in a fun and interactive way alongside the reflexology, so if you are interested in how our incredible bodies work you should really enjoy this course!
Over 60% of the contact teaching time is spent developing excellent practical skills, this is a holistic academic course focussing on the important practical aspects of this amazing hands-on therapy. So you will have a good balance between understanding how best to help your client and being knowledgeable in how to support your client through creating a bespoke treatment and offering relevant homecare advice.
The course is part time with 24 days of weekend attendance over the year (29 shorter weekdays in Lichfield). There is a comprehensive home study programme of assignments and person studies. On successful completion of portfolios and practical assessments, graduates are able to use the letters CRM5 (Dip) after their name and are eligible to join the largest and most prestigious UK Reflexology membership organisation The Association of Reflexologists and the government approved regulatory body, The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
Please note that Reflexology in the UK is self-regulated and the CNHC do not regulate qualifications. By choosing a regulated qualification that sits on a governmental framework this gives you security and peace of mind as you will hold a nationally recognised qualification. Here is the Government link to what qualification levels mean.
Centralia is a member of RIEN - Reflexology in Europe Network. The Level 5 qualification is recognised throughout Europe and is the equivalent to a Level 5 qualification in Europe.
This is a professional reflexology training course designed and run by professional reflexologists who are passionate about helping people through reflexology and sharing their passion, skill and experience.
