Contemporary Reflexology College offers the Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology fully regulated by the Awarding and Qualification Organisation Agored Cymru and accessed through The Integrated Reflexology Consortium - www.irc.training.

A select group of highly experienced and dedicated reflexology educators are teaching the UK's original and updated Level 5 Diploma in Practitioner Reflexology (equivalent to an HND or Foundation Degree). Most other courses are to Level 3 (equivalent to GCE A Level or NVQ 3), if a course is not levelled then check it out thoroughly! Contemporary Reflexology College is proud to offer this exciting and progressive course and is unique in its approach by adding Ear Reflexology as well as Hand and Foot Reflexology to the core syllabus. There is also an emphasis on self-care, research and meridian work. The title of the course is:
All five course units are assigned to the Nursing and Subjects and Vocations Allied to Medicine Sector and are 100% specific to becoming a Professional Clinical Reflexologist. The units are also recognised in Europe as the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales and Ofqual are registered with the European Qualifications Framework. Most reflexology courses are Level 3 and allied to Health and Social Care often including unrelated subjects or requiring prior Anatomy and Physiology training.
The Level 5 course is ideal for medically trained people looking to move into the Complementary Health Sector, as well as newcomers with no prior knowledge of healthcare and Anatomy and Physiology. We introduce you to the structure and function of the body in a fun and interactive way alongside the reflexology, so if you are interested in how our incredible bodies work you should really enjoy this course!
Over 60% of the contact teaching time is spent developing excellent practical skills, this is a holistic academic course focussing on the important practical aspects of this amazing hands-on therapy. So you will have a good balance between understanding how best to help your client and being knowledgeable in how to support your client through creating a bespoke treatment and offering relevant homecare advice.
The course is part time with 24 days of weekend attendance over approximately a year. There is a comprehensive home study programme of assignments and case studies. On successful completion of portfolios and practical assessments, graduates are eligible to join the largest and most prestigious UK Reflexology membership organisation The Association of Reflexologists and the government approved regulatory body, The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
